We've already made quite an impact in the canton of St. Gallen, where we manufactured a custom chrome steel crossbeam.
The Starting Point
A lifting device specifically tailored to this application was required for handling dough containers. In addition to safely lifting and moving the containers, the requirements for use in the food industry had to be taken into account in particular.
The load crossbeam should be compact in design, rated for a payload of 220 kg, and suitable for the specified temperature range of –10 °C to +50 °C.
Our Solution
Bollhalder developed a custom load crossbeam for dough containers. The design was based on the defined operating conditions and took into account the requirements for load-handling equipment as well as hygiene standards in mechanical engineering.
Bollhalder implemented the lifting solution, from design and risk assessment through to manufacturing and load testing.
The crossbeam was designed for a payload of 220 kg and rated for a service life of 10 years or 16,000 load cycles.
