Machinery transport and loading of a machine in Zurich.
A 15-metric-ton machine is heading out on a trip
For an industrial client in the Zurich area, we handled the removal and loading of heavy machine components from a production hall. Among these was a machine body weighing approximately 15 metric tons, which was loaded onto a truck for onward transport.
The Starting Point
Several heavy machine components had to be removed from a production hall and loaded for onward transport.
The biggest challenge was a machine body weighing about 15 metric tons. Due to its heavy weight and the limited space inside the hall, the machine had to be moved in a controlled manner.
In addition, the various components had to be distributed among several trucks, and the loading operations had to be coordinated accordingly.
Our Solution
To move the machine body, which weighed approximately 15 metric tons, we used various heavy-duty transport systems as well as our SLS. This allowed us to move the machine in a controlled manner within the production hall to the loading area.
The subsequent loading onto the truck was carried out using a truck-mounted crane. We also used the load crossbeam we developed and manufactured ourselves, which has a load capacity of 24 metric tons.
In addition to the actual transport and crane operations, we coordinated the loading of the remaining machine components onto several trucks. This allowed us to successfully prepare and load all components for onward transport.
