A 62.5-metric-ton press frame with a lifting system was moved.
Lifting with millimeter precision, safe tilting, and precise positioning using lifting columns and an overhead crane.
For an industrial client in the canton of Zurich, we handled the lifting, repositioning, and placement of a 62.5-metric-ton press frame. Using hydraulic lifting columns and an indoor crane, we carried out this challenging machine relocation in a controlled manner.
The Starting Point
A 62.5-metric-ton press frame had to be lifted, rotated, and positioned at its designated location inside an industrial building.
In addition to the machine's heavy weight, the spatial constraints placed special demands on the lifting technology. A precisely coordinated approach was crucial to guiding the heavy press frame in a controlled manner throughout the entire movement and setting it down safely.
Our Solution
To move the machine, we combined hydraulic lifting columns with the existing overhead crane. The two lifting systems were coordinated to gradually lift the 62.5-metric-ton press frame and tilt it in a controlled manner.
Through the coordinated operation of the lifting columns and the overhead crane, the heavy machine component was safely lifted and placed in its intended position with millimeter precision.
The combination of various lifting techniques made it possible to carry out the operation with precision despite the heavy weight and limited space.
